As t o c r eat e a brand identity for my product, I believe it would be useful in establishing a film company name and a logo to match.

Many film companies sell their films on the basis that they are from a very popular production company, examples of which are shown on this page.

As you can see, these three film posters are particularly iconic . As soon as this logo is shown before a film, the audience automatically as a pre- conceived idea as to what the film will be about. This branding allows the companies to tap at their target audience.

This logo connotes Hollywood (searchlights, night- film premiers) and therefore perhaps big, famous household names.

The font of ‘United Artists’ is particularly striking – the gold font with the flare contrasted against the stone is particularly impress and gives it a magical-like effect.

The Universal studios logo is defining a world-wide audience and perhaps indicates a vary of different films being produced rather than a specified target audience.

The Columbia logo is somewhat reminiscent of the Statue of Liberty – American? Powerful flare.

The Columbia logo is somewhat reminiscent of the Statue of Liberty – American? Powerful flare. The juxtaposition of the flare against the cloud could connote conflict – drama films?

This logo hosts a variety of Hollywood mise-en-scene (searchlights, night- film premiers) and therefore perhaps big, famous household names. The gold also connotes a sense of fame and fortune.

Simple yet effective logo. Name can be shortened to ‘PP’ if necessary. Title suggests ground-breaking films.

Grainy background. Connotes television and perhaps film.

Circular logo is somewhat inspired (see next slide) but also connotes a camera lens.

Black clouds connote mystery and suspense. The light coming from behind the logo is also somewhat mysterious. Entices interest?

InspirationI borrowed a few artistic devices off ‘Working Title’.

White text on black font is clear and powerful.

I like the way the circle is positioned, and the font over the circle. Instantly captivates viewers attention.
