Our film is going to have a professionally designed website

with it's own domain name, the title of the film. The website will be aesthetically pleasing and grab the viewer's attention. We will have a HD trailer in the centre of the page, as well as the title in bold eye-catching design and font above trailer. We are thinking of having links to the social networking website, Facebook, fan page so we can spread news and advertisement to our target audience, as they are most likely to be using the website Facebook. We would also have an image gallery on the website to entice people to view the film as well as a Facebook application related to the film. We believe Facebook is an extremely powerful way of advertising in this day and age as it is so popular all over the world.

For our teaser trailer we are including lo-fi photographs,

representing the pair of teenager's 'summer of love'. These photographs will flick through in-between scene changes. It will give our trailer a quirky, individual effect in a teenage 'fun' way that appeals to our target audience. We will ensure our teaser trailer includes a lot of action but also that it does not give too much of the plot away, so that viewers will be enticed to find out what happens in the film. We will only show the film's title at the end of the teaser trailer, so the viewer will have to watch it all the way through to find out the name of the film. We aim to create something fast-moving and exciting, with images that stick in the viewer's mind.

The sum of money allocated for a particular

purpose

We intend our 90 minute film to be a very low budget film. Although we are using an expensive SLR camera, we will not have any extra costs such as cast or the costs involved in distribution.

The maximum possible expense will total £100, this will cover the costs of travelling, costumes and any props needed.

The titles we intend to used and colour schemes will

have to link in with our genre. For example we wish to produce a romance targeting teens and young adults. Therefore we will use colours such as red and light blue.

Here we can see a typical image portraying that a woman is being chased by two men and could be fighting over her. This is a typical romance story-line.

Magazine Cover

Our Magazine cover will show to two main characters in the film and have the part of where the film is set. It will also contain who directed, produced and distributed the film. This is an example of a poster we would like to replicate but not copy.

We will be designing our poster on adobe illustrator most likely as it is an easy efficient cost effective way of designing posters while keeping intact the professional look.

The location of our film will be set in and around

Reigate as we do not have permission do film elsewhere. However we will be able to use our creative genius to film each scene in a way that it looks different from Reigate and we will also be able to use indoors which can be portrayed as any part of the world with the right props. We will have a free range of what our actors can and cannot wear, however there will not be any huge altercations in what they wear as it is a romance and will therefore need only street clothes in reality.

Mise en Scene, actual scenes?

We plan to use a varying amount of iconography to portray

a feeling of love and romance. This can be done through colours for instance, the colour red and light blue portray love and passion. We will also have a varying amount of soundtracks in the film to try and attract more of an audience which a large amount of viewers can connect to as music is a big part of our target audiences lives (15-34). We will be using a HD camera to film our film, this will make it look realistic and professional as it is a good quality of camera. We may also use some hand held camera’s as we cannot leave the premises with the HD camera’s and we can then alter this when editing to make it look like one smooth easy transition.

Our film is going to sell the idea of ‘a perfect

romance’. We hope that our film will be received in the same way that the Film Bridget Jones’ (2001, Sharon Maguire) captured the hearts of most of the country, simply by telling the tale of a British woman’s desperate search for love. We hope to achieve this by having a similar outline to the film, following the main characters throughout their lives capturing the romantic parts.

Brand, what is going to sell?

Our films USP is it is an independent British

romantic film which I recent times (i.e. the ten years) there have not been many of. It will however have similarities to films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral (1999, Duncan Kenworthy) and Four Weddings and a Funeral ( 1994 Mike Newell)

We researched on the BBFC website what

certificate our film would be and found out that it would be a certificate 15 as it contains mild drug use, sex scenes and strong language.

The genre of our film is destined to be a teen

romance and drama. We will feature teenagers as actors to fulfill this genre convention. We will focus on following the lives of three teenage individuals that conflict when they become tied in a love triangle.

Genre

Page 14: Amannnnnnnnn

We have decided to focus on basing our film

upon a mix of ‘JUNO’ and ‘Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind’. We are focusing on the ‘indie’ side of Juno, as it features teens in similar situations to ours in our film. ‘Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind’ represents the imagery we would like to include in our film and it stands out as something different.

The target audience for our film would be

between 16-28 years. This is because it is a teen related drama/romance. We would target it at people with similar interests to those featured in our film such as sex, cycling, romance, photography, music and experimentalism.
