UK Rail Compliance

with

To carry out work on the UK railways you will need to

be an approved railway contractor.

To do so you will have to be compliant with the

Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS). This was formerly known as the Link-Up Scheme.

How do you achieve RISQS Compliance?

To qualify you will need to complete a RISQS questionnaire and choose your product codes. Some of these code groups only need registering, whereas some will require qualification. To do so an external RISQS auditor will carry out an on-site audit. There are four protocol standards which your company will be audited against. Our specialists can help you achieve compliance to the protocols relevant to your organisation.

Benefits of Achieving RISQS

• You’ll be listed as an approved supplier and your details will be seen by thousands of buyers in the rail sector.

• You’ll have an equal opportunity through a fair, open and transparent qualification process.

• You’ll get access to an online service to see your own evaluation and score and get industry updates.

• You’ll also have the ability to update your profile as often as you like during your subscription.

Here at FPA we’ll help you achieve RISQS compliance by guiding you through the following process…

1. Developing Your System

To be compliant with the RISQS you will need a UK rail compliance system including all of the procedures and work instructions.

We can help you to explain your process, write the documentation, actually implement the system and then be at your side on the day of your audit.

2. Maintaining compliance

Once you have a UK Rail Compliance Management System, we’ll also help you to maintain it.

3. Railway Interference Planning

Scheme (RIPS)

If you are wanting to apply for the Railwat Contractors Certificate then we can help you meet the requirements of the RISQS audit protocol for the Railway Planning Scheme.
