piecesoffilm(strips)that,whenfedintoadigitizeronebyone,

leaveagreatdealofscanareaidle.Obviously,scanningweld

radiographsx-rays,utilizingjustasmallportionofNDTPRO’s

potential,isnotafeasiblewayofdoingbusiness:thedepart-

mentfallsbehindonthetransitionschedule,andthebacklog

keepspilingupbythehour,andmorestoragespaceisneeded,

andthecarryingcostsarerunningoutofcontrol.

Larivière’s MuLti-strip FiLM Feederwillpreventtheseprob-

lemsfromhappening.Thisspecialfilmfeedermodulewillallow

scanningseveralfilmstripssimultaneously.Itcanmultiplythe

company’sscanningproductivitybythefactorof5anddramati-

callyreducethetransitiontime.Astandardmulti-stripfeeder

canaccommodateupto5radiographsnowiderthan6cmeach.

EngineersatLarivièrewillcustomizethenumberandwidthof

slotsinthetrayaccordingtospecificrequirements.

AFewScanningTips:

thenextload,makesuretheradiographsareof

approximatelythesamelength.
