Oakland Mills Middle School is an ethnically diverse middle school whose mathematic scores have improved school wide but, dropped in the past school year according to ethnicity results.

Have every student in 6th grade at 100% proficient in Mathematics
Attain this by 2014 to meet the requirements for NCLB

peer tutoring for their peers

Overall success of closing the achievement gap
The gap has closed significantly over the past two years. There issome cause for concern among the Asian population. In the 2010school year there was a dramatic drop in achievement. While theWhite population showed a slight increase. Whereas the African- American and Hispanic population both had a slight decrease.
The concern is: As a school have we lowered the level of curriculum expectations to accommodate the other ethnic groups?
