• Revolver entertainment distributed another urban youth cultural uk film which was Shank.

• This means they take risks in giving new people chances and as we have a similar film to Shank, our chances of being chosen by them would be high.

• Another film they took a risk with was Kidulthood, this also is another urban youth cultural uk film.

• Kidulthood was successful with £100,056 made in just the opening weekend of when the film was first released in cinemas, and a sequel was produced a few years afterwards, which was “Adulthood” and again revolver entertainment distributed.

• Kidulthood and Shank both introduced some new actors which were not very known before these films. This appeals to us again as we too have actors who are not very popular but with the support by Revolver Entertainment, their names would be noticed more because they are a well known British distribution company so it would attract a large quantity of people.

Social Media

• Social Media would be one of the best ways to distribute our film because almost everyone has an account on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. We can create profiles for our film on these sites which would keep all of the fans up to date with all the latest information and news. From this, one fan can “repost” or “retweet” this information which will then be forwarded to even more people which would then get them interested and this will carry on and gradually create a large fan base. This is word of mouth and it is an effective way of distributing our film because it is cheap as you do not have to pay anything to use these sites.

Trailers

• Trailers is another highly effective way in how we can distribute our film because it contains visuals and gives the audience a small insight of what is going to happen in the film. Also our trailer can be presented on many platforms, such as in Cinemas, TV adverts and also on YouTube. The best time for it to be shown in Cinemas would be when people are watching a film with the same genre as ours so therefore the audience are likely to be interested in our film also. YouTube is very helpful because the trailer can also be shared onto social network sites.
