TrainingThe term training refers a learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules, or changing of attitudes and behaviours to enhance the performance of employees. It forms the core of apprenticeships and provides the backbone of content.

Objectives of Training To develop human resourcesz for mechanization an indispensable condition for increasing the production. To create awareness about judicious use of available machinery and power. To transfer the proven technology from research institutes to the actual users. To help farmers / technicians / students / extension workers etc. in the selection, operation, repair, maintenance, management and other aspects of mechanization.

Objectives of Training(contd.) To upgrade social and economic condition of their rural youth by generating the employment further.

To help industries specially small sector in transplanting the research design of tested equipment / machines into industrial design for the production of quality machines.

INTRAC(International NGO Training and Research Center)INTRAC is involved in work with the PRIP Trust , a leading capacity building NGO in Bangladesh.

PRIP are implementing the Small Initiatives by Local Innovative NGOs (SMILING) project, between 2007 and 2011.

Mr. Fazle Hasan Abed,( Chair, PRIP Trust and Founder & Chairperson, BRAC) is one of the honourable Members of the founding Board of Trustees.

LocationGenerally the training is held in the place arranged by PRIP Trust.It also been held in the office of PRIP trust which is situated in SaatMasjid Road.

ParticipantsIn the last three years, course participants have come from 324 different organisations.

. Participants include staff from international and local NGOs, donor organisations, support organisations, civil society umbrella bodies, and researchers and consultants.

Who TrainsThe associates and consultants of the Management team is appointed as the trainer and is responsible for the overall training programme.

They come from UK to Bangladesh in order to give training.

Method of training Its training is participatory. It uses a variety of methods based on action learning principles ;such as- case studies, group work, role play and peer support. This is complimented by presentations on relevant theoretical frameworks and emergent thinking and trends.
