Lithuanians like to eat tasty food. The tradition of eating well is inherited from our ancestors, who liked to say - „Who eats well, works well“.Lithuanians prepare simple but tasty food.

A good cook can create delicious meals using simple ingredients.

Children are getting ready to cook cold beetroot soup, which is a most popular summer soup because it‘s cold.

Being able to cook is a great skill to have.

It's an exciting and fun activity for children.

The porridge is one of many Lithuanian dishes made from potatoes.

Childrren learn about the importance of traditional food.

Challenges of cooking.

However academic and social benefits of cooking outweigh the

efforts.

Using cooking tools help kids to build their hand muscles, as

well as strengthen their hand-eye coordination.

Hand made porridge from potatoes is very delicious for children.

Children like the porridge very much.

While children help out in the kitchen, they get match, science and reading skills.

One day was devoted to Lithuanian bacon.

The most popular products made of pork are flitches and ,,skilandis‘‘, a kind of Lithuanian sausage. It can be seen from the faces of the children in the photos.

Liars day (all over the world called Fools day) in the kindergarten.

On that day children lie and try to trick each other.

Children and teachers gather in the kindergarten‘s hall to make jokes together.

Children and adults tell funny stories, do pranks and jokes.

Interesting Lithuanian folk jokes, songs and tales.

We had some guests on that day. One of them was our former assistant from Turkey. He liked our Liars day so much.

Children need to understand that joke has to be entertaining, inoffensive. We have the right to be different.
