The sun drying process of shark fillets and fins found in coastal area of Patharghata, Barguna.

Geographically Patharghata has been identified as one of the most important and promising area for marine fish. (Roy, B.J. 2010.)
Sharks, rays, and skates are of great commercial importance worldwide although shark fishery in Bangladesh is not a target fishery; its availability is incidental as by-catch (Haroon, A.K.Y., 2010).
A study was conducted to assess the effect of sun on drying shark fillet and fin at Pathargahata. It takes usually 7 to 8 days depending on weather.
Introduction
ObjectivesTo assess the time required for the sun
drying process of the shark fillets and fins.
Materials and MethodsThe study collected data both from secondary
and primary sources. Primary data has been collected employing the following techniques;

Primary data collection Questionnaire Survey Laboratory analysis of collected samples
Secondary data collection Books, Journals & Papers BFDC.

Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation (BFDC) in Patharghata upazila in Barguna district.
