STAGE ONE: GROUNDWORKSEPT 2010 – JANUARY 2011
• Frog design for school website• ‘Frog – coming soon’ nuggets• Recruit eight ‘champions’ –
enthusiasm is the key
STAGE TWO: CHAMPION TRAININGFEBRUARY 2011
• 30 minute preliminary ‘overview’ meeting
• One week for champions to ‘have a go’ before the training
• Two full days, with Frog trainer, two weeks apart
• Second round of eight additional champions, this time with internal trainer
STAGE THREE: PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTIONMARCH – SEPT 2011
• Each Frog Champion trial key features with one teaching group
• Permissions given to these students only• Fortnightly meetings with Frog Champions:
a) to share experiences, and b) to build department websites
• Plan and build folder structure• Draw up roll-out plan• Involve School Leadership, Senior and Middle
STAGE FOUR: STAFF LAUNCHOCT 2011 – FEB 2012
• Four-stage roll-out plan: a) Quick Issue Work; b) Learning Plans; c) Folder Structure; d) Consolidation
• Two-hour twilight session for each• No optional element – all homework on
Frog two weeks after 1st training session• Employ talented student to prepare
‘user-guides’ for each session
STAGE FIVE: CONSOLIDATION AND FUTURE-PLANNINGMARCH 2012 ONWARDS• Devolution to department-level• Champions continue to be the key drivers• Watch for slippage and deal with it• Open Parent-Portal• Personalise the VLE: ‘Centre Zone’,
‘Avatars’, ‘House Points’, Message Boards• Future: Forums, Survey Tools, Quizzes
