Introduction An advisor or board member for companies ranging from E8 Securities

to Signal Peak Ventures, Steve Shillingford was previously the CEO of Solera Networks. Prior to his work with Signal Peak, Steve Shillingfordstudied at Brigham Young University, Columbia University Business School, and the University of California, Berkeley, and became a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Established in 1855, Sigma Chi has 239 chapters and 132 alumni chapters. The organization is dedicated to promoting the values of campus-wide and global leadership. Sigma Chi offers four different programs overseen by its Leadership Training Board.

- A recruitment retreat launched in 2001, Mission 365 is designed to help undergraduate chapters embrace a year-round recruitment style to attract more and higher-quality members.

Sigma Chi - Primarily focused on spurring positive change in

participating chapters, emphasizing values-based recruiting, and strategic planning, Journey aims to expand in the future to address other issues in the chapters.

- Developed for undergraduate members, the Horizons program helps participants achieve their leadership goals over the course of a six-day learning experience. While helping participants learn community leadership skills, the program also helps them understand how leadership affects their own lives.

- Sigma Chi’s oldest program, the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop was founded in 1947. Every year, leaders from every one of the fraternity’s chapters immerse themselves for four days in presentations dedicated to chapter promotion and health.
