Morehead State is one of four U.S. institutions to offer a B.S. degree in Space Science. The primary research instrument is the 21-meter NASA radio telescope, which went online in 2004.

• Curriculum vita or resume• Statement describing interest in the PLA and how
involvement might benefit the University and department/unit
• Examples of how nominee has exhibited the potential for effective leadership on campus and/or community
• Identification of an area outside normal assignment for participating in internship activities and processes
• Selection of one challenge currently facing the University that, if met successfully, would have a positive impact on the institution and its constituents

• Nomination materials due in January.• Selection committees, comprised of
community, government and civic leaders, interview nominees during February.
• Selection committees submit recommendations by March.
• Academy participants notifiedby April.

PLA Curriculum – PLA Curriculum – Group ProjectGroup Project• PLA class divided into two teams. Teams
are provided the “Nickel Glen College” case study and budget information for review.
• One week later, teams make a 30-minute presentation to President’s Cabinet on plan and proposed budget to address the problems set forth in the case.
