The first question was asking peoples preferred gender in regards to the documentarian – we felt this was a very important question as it effected a lot about the way people would watch our documentary. Our feedback shows our audience prefer a female documentarian.
This shows that the preponderance of our audience is female. This shows that the majority of the participants are female and willing to take the time out to answer questions. However this does not mean our audience is mostly female.
The answers to this question shows peoples documentary preferences. This reveals our audience likes observational and reflexive modes of documentary
We felt it was important to find out what kind of documentarian our audience prefers as we wanted them to connect with them as it would keep them engaged. This response shows our audience prefers a documentarian closer to their age (17-25).
Our audience prefers the documentarian to have a direct link to the subject matter. This may be because it gives more relevance and relatability.
Out of the three suggestions, our audience chose ‘Mormons: Beyond the big book’We agree that this was an enticing title, which engaged the audience and best suited the subject matter.
This shows that our audience knows little about our subject matter so will be interested in our documentary. It ask means we can go into a lot of detail about the subject matter.
This shows the audience are keen to know about lifestyles of Mormons as it is more relevant to them and therefore more interesting.
