Primary duties include: Lead, develop, and manage Learning Environments unit comprised of circulation, reference, roving services, community engagement, academic programming, and online learning. Responsible for a team of 23 employees, directly supervising nine people.
Current projects include: • Working with the Associate Dean for Learning and the Assistant Director for Learning Services, creating vision, mission, and outcomes for a new “Learning” division within the University Libraries
• Developing Learning Environments leadership team • Building processes, guidelines, and policies for Learning Environments work • Building a new Online Learning Team, including the design of new positions and managing the search processes
• Co-‐Chairing Digital Humanities Working Group • Supervising student internship on library spaces

Primary duties include: Lead and support numerous learning, outreach, and engagement initiatives. Operationalize the vision developed within the unit through collaborations across campus and via inter-‐departmental teams. Supervise 6 FTE, as well as part time, wage, and student employees.
Accomplishments include: • Built, managed and led a new Outreach Team including a Communications Coordinator, Graphics Coordinator and Visual Literacy Instructor, Graphics Support Specialist, Webmaster, and Videographer
• Initiated, designed, and facilitated “Aspirational Identity Lunches,” designed to help library employees internalize the new aspirational identity of the University Libraries
• Managed the Open Educational Resources & Online Learning Librarian, advised environmental scan of open and online education
• Led Online Learning Platform development along with Director of Reference and Instruction Services
• Chaired Pedagogy Hub focused on exploring social, service, and online learning for potential application in University Libraries
• Co-‐led In-‐Staff Service Day, planned and executed a day-‐long conference for all library faculty and staff
• Co-‐Chaired Learning Environments Working Group, participated in custom online and physical learning environment for faculty across a number of disciplines and mapping out the libraries’ approach to developing learning environments in the future

Head of Instruction: July 2011 – February 2013 Primary duties include: Led and collaboratively managed library instruction program; planned and managed professional development for librarians who taught; administered LIB100/200 program; supervised 2 FTE instruction positions including eLearning Librarian, Senior Lecturer, and 1 Adjunct Instructor; led efforts to provide quality control for library courses; promoted academic benefit of courses to larger university community; represented library instruction to various audiences; and served as library representative on teaching-‐related committees including the Teaching and Learning Center advisory board. Also managed monograph budget and as served as liaison to Philosophy, the Women and Gender Studies departments, and the Teaching and Learning Center. Responsible for all library instruction including credit bearing courses, one-‐shot library sessions, and online tutorials. • Taught semester-‐long “one-‐credit” course on teaching for librarians and developed inclusive and participatory curriculum for spring semester “course”
• Transitioned LIB100/200 courses from 1 credit hour to 1.5 credit hours • Interviewed all library instructors to conducting a programmatic needs assessment (25 librarians and staff members)

Instructional Design Librarian: July 2007 – July 2011
Primary duties included: Introduced instructional design on campus as the sole instructional designer; forecasted emerging technology scenarios and adapted library services as needed; developed, contributed to, and provided services through technology pilots; liaised between technology and reference units in the library; managed monograph budget and collections for Women’s and Gender Studies, Philosophy, Teaching and Learning Center, and ebook readers. Accomplishments included: • Co-‐authored ACRL 2011 Libraries of Excellence award nomination for the Z. Smith Reynolds Library • Served on University Strategic Planning Committee for Innovation in Technology and Information and authored large sections of final report
• Introduced Instructional Design as a process to the campus community, advocated for additional staff support for this work, worked closely with the Director of the Teaching and Learning Center to select the appropriate person for the role, and worked closely with him to learn campus culture and establish the TLC as the place to get Instructional Design support
• Directly contributed to campus discussions about online education and worked with Provost’s and Dean’s offices during early discussions about Wake Forest University’s first online degree program
• Beta tested and interpreted data from Counting Opinions campus-‐wide library survey and produced summary report
• Identified tools and participated in founding taskforces for LibGuides, Google Voice, Library H3lp, and QR Code implementation
• Created, proposed, and implemented the library’s social media strategic plan with library’s Web Services Librarian
• Primary investigator for a grant to develop an Open Access e-‐Textbook framework • Created a local learning objects repository framework, recognized by the Association of College and Research Library’s PRIMO (Peer-‐Reviewed Instructional Materials Online)

Primary duties included: Directly supported faculty, staff, students, and public in accessing microtext collection; developed procedures and recommended policies for internal departmental operations; copy cataloged incoming North Carolina and federal government documents; led and managed 20 to 25 student workers each semester. I participated in a panel, “Demystifying Social Media in Academic Libraries” with East Carolina University’s Matt Long, Mary Tucker-‐McLaughlin, and Beth Winstead and gave a break out session on “What’s Hot: Exploring Social Media Trends” introducing and describing potential impact of various social networking sites from Pintrest to Reddit to Goodreads.

Collection dedicated to support professional activity and scholarship within the Z. Smith Reynolds Library faculty and staff.
Philosophy (Fall 2008-‐ 2013) • Responsible for all monograph selection and purchasing for the department, and a budget of $11,000. Represent the library within the department and responsible for outreach. Identify and recommend new electronic resources for the department.
Teaching and Learning Center (2008 -‐ 2013) • Responsible for monographic selection to support the mission of the Teaching and Learning Center, and a budget of $600. Teach requested workshops for the TLC. Represent the library within the department and responsible for outreach.
Women’s and Gender Studies (2007-‐2013) • Responsible for all monograph and video selection and purchasing for the department, and a budget of $4,000.
