Clip 3 Mise-en-scene

By Danni Manley

Lighting for the cake clip

• It is lit so the lighting if from the candles because it’s a dream and in a dark room

• It makes the room feel warm but scary,• This is share's wish to get her daughter

back

Lighting for the hospital While shear is in the hospital bed its like a green blue spotlight that is shining down on her so it makes everything look all shadowy and scary.

The woman is running in the corridor because she is running from what she think is in the dark. The lights are green blue so it looks dull and she's in a nightmare.

Shear has now came into reality so that’s why the hospital is now bright and full of people. The light is more natural to make it look like an everyday scene in the hospital.

Location

This is set in no where except in darkness, this is a little hint of what's to come.

Location

The rest of the scene is set in a hospital because this is where Share is recovering after the car crash. However in half of the scene its setup to look like a nightmare and the rest of the scene is set up to look like reality.

Costume and props

The prop in this scene is the cades and the cake, this is because it is representing Shares dream/wish.

The costume used is a child's pink top and some trousers that we don’t see. This is trying to portray Shares daughter, because she wishes she is alive.

Costume and props

The main props in this part of the clip is the heart monitor, oxygen tube, because you see her taking them off her. Teas also represent what type of impact the crash has on her compared to the other two.

The costume she is wearing is a hospital gown to show that she is a a patient. She is warring this all through the scene.

When the hospital goes to reality they introduce all of the extras and Juno/Beth, they are all dress in normal everyday clothes.

There is a movie mistake because share doesn't take the plaster of her hand, but when she is hugging Beth the plaster is gone.

SoundThis part has a high squeaking sound playing, that sound is a non diegetic because its just added on. It also has the sounds of the candled blowing out.

SoundYou can still hear the high pitched sound but this time you can hear the sound of the heart monitor.

Hear the sounds change because you can hear horrible breathing noises that gives us a hint of what is going to come.

The horrible noises stop and instrumental music com in to try and make us feel sad for her.

Conclusion

• The cake is a dream so its like an elusion so everything is glowey.

• At the beginning before she bumps into Beth the hospital is set out to make it look like Share is in a dream,

• After when Share bumps into her the hospital is back to reality, that is why its more brighter and there are extras walking around.
