PraguePrague Prague is the capital and the biggest city of the Czech Republic. Prague has been one of the most beautiful European cities since the Middle Ages. It is often called the "City of

100 towers". Prague is full of historical monuments and shows all main artistic styles. The historical

centre of Prague is situated on both banks of the Vltava river.

Charles Bridge

• Charles Bridge is a famous historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague. Charles Bridge was the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town. During the day it changes its face into a very busy place, with painters, owners of kiosks and other traders people alongside numerous tourists crossing the bridge.

Astronomical Clock

• The Orloj is located in the Old Town Square and it is a popular tourist attraction. The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, "The Walk of the Apostles", and other moving sculptures and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

Prague Castle

• Prague Castle is the largest medieval castle complex in Europe and the ancient seat of Czech kings throughout the ages. It is Prague's big tourist attraction. The Bohemian Crown Jewels are kept here. The Prague Castle complex consists of Saint Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, including Lobkowicz Palace and St. George's Basilica.

Wenceslas Square

• Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares and the centre of the business and cultural communities in the New Town of Prague. Many historical events occurred there, and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. There are the National Museum Building and the statue of Wenceslas.

National Theatre

• National Theatre is a very famous building which has been very important for more than 150 years for the culture of Czech history. Today the National Theatre has three ensembles: opera,ballet and drama.
