All of our part-time programmes are designed to allow you to maintain anincome and work towards your educational objective at a pace that suitsyour particular circumstances. All you’ve got to do is decide which one isright for you, so before you start, here’s a few words of advice:

• Check that your present qualifications and/or life and work experienceare sufficient to allow you to take the course and be comfortable with thematerial and coursework involved.

• Remember taking any course represents a significant time and energycommitment. Check that your home and work situations facilitate thetime necessary to attend class, study and examinations.

HOW DO I APPLY?Once you’ve decided on the course that you want to do, you must applyonline.

Step 1: Apply for your course online. Please note an application deposit of€250 must be paid at the time of application by credit card or visa debit. Ifyou do not make a payment at the time of application, your application willbe deemed incomplete and will NOT be received by our Admissions Office.

Step 2: Provide transcripts where required. You will receive an automaticacknowledgement page at time of application which will outline theinformation you need to supply in order to be assessed by the Institute foreligibility and admission to the course. You will not receive an email of thisinformation so please read this page carefully and save it. Transcripts andsupporting documents can be uploaded to https://upload.itb.ie or postedto:

Step 3: The Admissions Office will assess your application once it isdeemed complete (ie. deposit and transcripts have been received).

Step 4: An offer or regret letter will be sent by email. Your offer email willask that full payment of the course fee (less the €250 application deposit)is paid before the date of registration which will be stated in the letter. Fullpayment for the course must be paid online.

If you receive a regret email you will receive a refund of your €250 depositto the credit/debit card which was used to pay the course fee.

Step 5: Confirm attendance and collect student card on the night yourclasses commence as specified in the offer email.

As the number of participants on certain courses is limited werecommend that you apply early in order to ensure a place on the courseof your choice. Applications for all courses are being accepted now. Placeson all courses are allocated to qualifying candidates in order of receipt ofcompleted applications.

HOW DO I PAY?All applicants will be charged an application deposit of €250. This depositwill be offset against the published course fee and is non-refundable*.When you apply online you’ll be asked to pay an application deposit of €250by debit or credit card at the time of application. Your application is notcomplete until you fill in your payment details. Your card information isencrypted and the Admissions Office at ITB does not have access to yourcredit card details at any time.

Please Note: If you do not pay the application deposit, your application isincomplete and ITB will not receive your application.

The balance of course fee must be paid in full before registration(i.e. published course fee less €250).

* The application deposit is only refundable where you are not allocated a placeor where the course is cancelled.

IF I CHANGE MY MIND, CAN I GET A REFUND?No, the application deposit is non-refundable where an applicant no longerwishes to purse the course. The application deposit is only refundablewhere you are not allocated a place or where the course is cancelled.

No refund will be made where a student withdraws from a part-timeprogramme after commencement of the programme.

For fees paid by credit card, these refunds are processed and refunded tothe card which was used to pay the fee.

All fees quoted are set annually and subject to change for subsequentyears of a course.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?Each course has specific minimum entry requirements and you mustcheck the course information on the Institute website for the entryrequirements for your chosen course www.itb.ie. Only applicants whoprovide evidence of meeting the minimum entry requirements will beadmitted to the course. Applicants must provide a full transcript of resultsfor each year of their previous course and a copy of the award as per Step2 above.

QUALIFICATIONS RECOGNITIONApplicants who have obtained a qualification outside the Republic ofIreland or the UK, are requested to obtain a letter from QualificationsRecognition www.qualrec.ie comparing their foreign qualification with anIrish qualification as listed on the National Framework of Qualificationswww.nfq.ie

ITB regards this information as extremely important to verify the level ofyour award and enable the Institute to speedily make a determination onyour eligibility for the course for which you have applied.

The qualification recognition service is free of charge, however assessmentof a qualification may take a few weeks so it is advisable to apply at least3 months before the start of the course. Qualification Recognition can becontacted on www.qualrec.ie

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSInstruction for all courses at ITB is normally through English (excludingany language modules) and applicants who do not have Leaving CertificateEnglish must provide evidence of equivalent competence through schoolleaving or matriculation examinations or achievements of a minimumstandard in recognised tests of English on the ITB website. Pleasesubmit a copy of these certificates at the time of application. In exceptionalcircumstances students may be admitted to courses without these formalcertificates. Where an applicant cannot provide certificates of resultsin school leaving exams equivalent to the Leaving Certificate or in therecognised tests listed on the ITB website they must complete theinternational students assessment of English competency form and returnit to the admissions office at the time of application. This form can berequested from the admissions office on 01 885 1000 or by downloading itfrom the Institute website www.itb.ie

CLOSING DATESThe closing date for all courses starting in September is Friday 5thSeptember 2014.
