What have you learned from your audience feedback?

I used relevant media technologies such as Facebook, Youtube and Hotmail all of these are useful as our target audience will use these therefore we can get appropriate feedback. This helped me come to the conclusion of what we had done well and what we could have changed.

We uploaded our documentary onto Youtube so we could get feedback.

We also put our print ad onto a popular social networking site, Facebook.

I used Hotmail to receive feedback from our target audience.

The feedback for our documentary Emergency Stop was positive and negative, they thought that the documentary was a bit tedious and could get boring. However a lot of people liked the music we used as they could relate to it. The Archive footage that we used was a success because it related to our documentary, we used Top Gear and Final Destination these are modern and the audience can relate to them.

The feedback I received from the audience helped me a lot, to learn what I could do better if I were to do something like this again. And also the positive feedback helped me gain confidence in what I was doing.

The feedback told me things such as some of interviews were boring and that they would probly turn off. This shows that next time I will have to think of more interesting and fun questions to ask to keep the viewers watching.

There was positive feedback also saying

that they like the opening titles to the documentary and that it made them want to keep watching. Also the music was modern and related to our theme and the audience liked this.

Most of the feedback I received helped me to spot my mistakes and what I need to change when making Emergency Stop the documentary. However the target audience did like what I made and they would listen and look at the radio and print ad.

Our audience said that they liked the music bed underneath the voiceover of our radio ad . Also how the music works well with what is being said. Overall the feedback on the radio ad was pretty much all positive .

The audience though that the print ad was very good and produced well, and that they could see this in a newspaper promoting our documentary. However there was only some negative points like the fonts to be bigger and the channel 4 logo to be moved up a little bit more.

After collating all the feedback I can now know what I did wrong and what I can make better if I were to do something like this again. By doing this I now have more experience and knowledge on making documentaries for the future.
