Improvement in communication skills.To learn how we can convince a farmer. Confidence built up.Learnt extension techniques.Revise knowledge on these topics.Problem based learning.
Approximately, 80 percent of the milk is produced in rural areas.In addition to milk, rural areas have major contribution to the meat production. They don’t give colostrum to calf b/c it cause constipition, diarrhia etcUnfortunately, in rural areas smallholder dairy farmers could not get actual production of animal and the value of milk because;i. they don’t know the requirement of animal as they only give
green gross to animals and think that it provides all animal’s requirements including water.
ii. They don’t know about different productions of milk by which they can increase value of milk such as Ice cream, Youghart, Cream etc.
iii. And they sale their milk to person who come to their village and purchase milk in lowest value.
Why livestock extension is important ??????????
What I learnt? I get following benefits;
Practical handling of animals in field condition.How to vaccinate most aggressive animal along with self care.How to maintain cold chain for vaccine.What’s important for efficacy of vaccine.Confidence built up for injection to animal in field.
ANIMAL HEALTH SECTION1.VACCINATION AGAINST FOOT & MOUTH DISEASEI vaccinated approximately 300 animals and again gave booster dose on 21th day, through vaccination I got following benefits;
