WASOWSKI GLOBAL INNOVATIVE. ALWAYS

Brand name: іHidrato!

Slogan: ‘drink the party!’

Concept/ design: Wrapped around the neck of the bottle are the colours of

Brazil. These colours are instantly recognisable as those

of Brazil, and Brazil has connotations of a party-fuelled, yet relaxed way of life. I think

this concept resonates well with our target audience of young people. Furthermore, Brazil is

well known for its tropical climate and fruit exports,

therefore it a good foundation upon which to build the subtle flavour of our water: tropical

fruits.

I chose to make the lid of the bottle lime green, firstly

because it fits in with the Brazillian colour scheme,

secondly because it would stand out on the shelf from the regular blue bottle tops.

The shape of the bottle is loosely based upon the quintessentially Brazillian guitar body shape. I chose to do this firstly because it is simply more Brazillian imagery to build upon the concept, but also because I think shaping the bottle like the traditionally perfect body type fits in well with the healthy, sugar-free image of the band.

The smooth lines and colour blocking at the base of the bottle are loosely based on the infamous skyline

of the Copacabana beach front in Rio, Brazil. I like this because although it is quite an abstract

interpretation, it reflects the three fundamental parts of the Brazilian landscape: ocean, beach and lush, tropical rainforest, and it also fits in nicely with the yellow, blue and green colour-scheme of the brand.

The name іHidrato! Comes from the Portuguese word for hydrate, which is obviously relevant to the refreshing and hydrating nature of the brand. Furthermore, choosing to

use an obviously foreign word for the brand name brings to mind tropical images and flavours- again this reflects the

brand perfectly.
