About Us
We are a group of thinkers, planners, designers and makers.
United by the power of play to inspire, explore and arrive at
strategies that allow companies and brands to become their
best selves. From our experience, there’s not enough clarity and
craft when it comes to creating strategy and action plans. We
believe the best strategies provide the most inspiring and
effective creative direction. We turn strategies into playbooks
where roles, responsibilities and intended impact are clearly
spelled out to inspire, inform and direct. These playbooks and
digitally ready files can be executed with playbook creative
teams or brought in-house for clients to use internally for
maximum value and efficiency. We work on projects and offer
retained services, typically we do a combo of both where we
start executing some of the plays we’ve designed.

A duo of Harvard primary care physicians banded together with leading Boston healthcare thought leaders and investors
to reinvent how primary care is delivered. The core idea was to break from industry conventions centered on office visits
to general practitioners and emergency care to radically expand access to high quality care in an ongoing manner. This
would be achieved through harnessing teams and technology to eliminate episodic visits and long wait times to provide
immediate access and long-term continuity of care to everyday Americans.

The emotional obstacle was that when it comes to healthcare, technology and team based care can feel like it’s creating
more distance from the personal care and attention they crave.
Challenge

Research conducted by the founding team, combined with in-depth stakeholder interviews, a deep dive on the competi-
tive landscape and quantitative research with potential patient members served as preparation for a Playbook Studio
Brand Narrative Workshop. Critical to this exercise was to translate and breath meaningful life into a powerful founder’s
vision centered on using teams and technology to “flip the script” and create a brand experience centered on empathy,
responsiveness, immediacy and ongoing connection.

The core ideas of “Always Connected” and “Guiding people on their path to their happiest and healthiest self” served as
the foundational brand narrative around which Playbook Studio architected the Firefly Health brand experience. This
experience was anchored in reflecting and amplifying the relationships the best doctors have with patients, and bringing
that relationship to life as a positive force throughout every step of the journey. These insights were expressed through a
visual brand identity and verbal narrative summarized as “Firefly will see you now.” This core brand idea was manifested
across a brand experience spanning the app, the website, content, partnership marketing, promotional collateral and
clinic experiences.
