USES OF GOOGLE EARTH FOR SERVICE
SECTOR
Flexibility, customization options and the global
coverage of Google Maps are the main reasons
why service sectors chose Google technology.
1. Customer Analytics
CUSTOMER ANALYTICS CONT…
Understanding customers
Create profiles for current or potential customers
and score them based on financial behaviors.
Target locations
Understand and visualize different areas that might fit
certain products and customer needs.
2.Mitigation and Governance
Improve risk management
Lower risks through increased responsiveness to
emergency situations and effective threat detection.
Visualize locations
Improve how risk is managed with analytic tools to
determine which locations have high risk potential.
Improve emergency response
Easily send alerts to emergency operations centers,
helping to re-establish critical business functions.
3.New Locations
Identify market segments
Visualize and understand new markets opportunities
by mapping buying trends, demographics and
household income.
Plan new branches and ATMs by banks
Visualize and identify optimal locations for new sites
and ATMs based on demographics and foot traffic.
USES OF GOOGLE EARTH FOR
MANUFACTURING SECTORS
1.Pipeline Management (specially for oil and gas)
Monitor flow rates
Use a unified operating model to monitor all pipeline
flow rates, helping personnel prepare for current
and future situations.
Get real time updates
Help field workers and operators make decisions and
respond more quickly
Share data internally
Easily link pipeline data to physical locations and
share task information with employees in the field.
2.Maintenance and Repair
Organize maintenance teams
Monitor and track information about assets, by pinpointing a specific
team and maintenance location.
Improve repair efficiency
Streamline your process with one centrally located database for
efficient allocation of tasks and field personnel.
3.Construction
Manage future projects
Use modeling to improve project management,
shorten completion times and lower costs.
Improve monitoring
Monitoring construction under one unified system
allows for quick response times, reducing risks and
lowering costs.
Analyze sites
Identify the most effective locations for future
construction sites for faster and cost lowering
projects.
CONCLUSION
Main task of Google earth is to display the location
so that the organization could get the ‘better off’
of the venue. It could be of both geographical and
technical aspects.
