November 1947

“Education does not merely mean academic education

and even that of a very poor type. What we have to do

is to mobilize our people and build up a character of

our future generation.”

Intro…. The education is important for both male and female.

52% the population of Pakistan is female.

Its mean that more than half of population are female.

Someone said that a human being does not have proper sense until he is educated.

Same as men, women could learn knowledge and teach and be useful in education in any field.

Importance in society Any mother can teach her children how to be a good

person with good manners, so if a mother is a well-educated and trained person, she can be a good teacher and trainer for her children too. As a mother, a woman affects her children (boys and girls), as a wife, she affects her husband, and as a female in the family, she affects her father and brothers; so the role of women in family and society is very high.

Educated woman can understand and use food products, health items, and sanitary products in the correct way, and also teach proper usage of such items to the members of her family.

Importance.. “An educated mother can help the country in the

sense that she can produce good citizens”

As much as mothers are more knowledgeable and educated, they can become better teachers and trainers.

Literacy is among one of the indicators of human development. All girls of today are mothers of tomorrow. The role played by mothers in building up a nation is beyond dispute.

The Holy Prophet of Allah (S.A.W.) has said: "Atta libul ilm faridhatol kuli muslim."

This Hadith means: "Attainment of knowledge is a must for every Muslim.“

The Prophet MOHAMMED (pbuh) said: "Seek knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave”

Barrier in female education in Pakistan The over all literacy ratio is 46% in Pakistan.

Female literacy ratio in Pakistan is 26%.

Alarming Situation In Rural Areas

One of the deplorable aspect is that in some places ,particularly northern tribal areas ,the education of girls is strictly prohibited. The female literacy rate there stands between3% and 8%.

the culture of Pakistan is not homogenous some people are conservative people they don’t send their female to school, colleges or university.

• Poverty:

the people are very poor, they don’t resources to bear the education expenses.

Parents have lack of aweranace to attract to education and send their female to school or colleges.
