EligibilityEligibility
• 1 year Full-time faculty experience
or
• Two-semesters as Part-time faculty within the last two years (not necessarily consecutive)
Eligible ActivitiesEligible Activities
• Scholarly activities such as attending professional conferences, workshops, and seminars within the U.S.
• College level coursework (excluding graduate tuition) that would not result in subsequent advances in the salary schedule.
FundingFunding
• Approximately $20,000 total is available for the 2010-2011 year awards.
• Awarded three times per year– First Period, April 15th Due Date: For events in July,
August, September, and October (This date is past.)– Second Period, September 15 Due Date: For events
in November, December, January, and February– Third Period Due Date January 15th: For events in
March, April, May, and June
Dollars Available Per PersonDollars Available Per Person
• A maximum of $1,500.00 will be awarded per person per fiscal year.
• But a faculty member may submit a proposal (for less than $1500) in any and all funding periods. (Over the year, those totals are not to exceed $1500.)
Committee MembershipCommittee Membership
• One faculty representative elected/appointed per campus not on zero-based budgeting
• Non-voting staff from Central Services

AccountabilityAccountability
Awardees post a summary of their experience in the CMC Teaching and Learning Blog within three months of the funded event so the benefit can be shared back and inspire colleagues across the college. They also submit their receipts in order to receive reimbursement for items named in their applications.
If accountability is not met, applicants will potentially forfeit their award (will not be reimbursed.)

• Contact campus rep as you begin to apply– They can help you successfully complete the app
• Give yourself time to obtain the required signatures (committee rep, Campus VP/CEO’s)
