Note: These are not the latest versions of the software.
1. PRESENTINGEE is a great tool for presenting - you can import images, videos, text or existing keynote or powerpoint slides and then use the annotate and laser pointer tools to make dynamic presentations.
2. WORK THROUGH PROBLEMS
The annotate tools allow you to work through problems whilst recording these - giving access to children to have access to these again, and again … and again!
3. VISUALISING AND ANNOTATING
The camera option allows you to capture images that you can then annotate - including pupils’ work in order to mark (for feedback or demonstrate to the rest of the class).
4. PEER TO PEER TEACHING
Children can develop their ideas and then record these to aid a peer or as evidence of assessment - for example explaining the parts of a geological landscape.
5. CAPTURING PRODUCT
Children can produce a finished product which can include a variety of multimedia (including voice and annotation).
6. CAPTURING PROCESS
Children can explain what they are doing as they explore a problem or an idea - this giving you insight into process or developing conception as well as product.
7. TARGETED FEEDBACK FOR IMPROVEMENT
Marking up and annotating work to offer guided and supportive feedback but also explaining what and why you are doing this (and offering challenge).
8. OBSERVATION OF TEACHING
Teachers can be observed using the video tool (or the video important) and then annotations added for feedback - or the teachers can offer self-reflection on parts of the video or stills capture.
9. GUIDED OR INDEPENDENT LEARNING
A series of slides could create a guide to a guided set of learning activities for a student - this could promote independent or semi-independent working.
10. SUPPORTING HOME LEARNING
A series of video indicating a process of learning could be used to ensure continuity between school and home learning (for example in handwriting or calculation).
