In the early days, phones were too big to carry around and were only used for talking. Now phones are small enough to carry around and are not only used for talking. They can also be used for surfing the web, checking emails, taking pictures, and updating our social media status. Phones have changed their physical shape along with its technology over the years.

A phone is considered technology because people have applied their scientific knowledge to make a device that makes communication easier and is used for many other purposes.

How does a phone impact me personally and our society in general?

Without phones, communication will be tough like back in the days. I wouldn't be able to talk to my parents very easily over the phone instead being face to face or sending notes. Phones have made being able to communicate easier all over the world.
