I was inspired by the H&M adverts as the
advertisements caught my attention instantly. I
decided to promote a H&M advert in my music
magazine as the majority of my target audience
shop in H&M, therefore this will attract a wider
audience. These three images are my main
inspirations when I create my own advert. To
make my advert relevant to my music magazine I
will add a quote from a song which represents my
model gaze.
In my advert I will combine two photographs
together to make the advert more interesting
which will appeal to a wider audience. I will
keep the typeface the same as the front cover of
my music magazine to keep a consistency. I will
add a quote from the song Stop and stare by One
Republic as this relates to the photo I will
use. This will make my music magazine more
recognisable and powerful.
This is a medium, high angle shot. The
impact of this intimidates the audience
and makes the model superior to the target
audience. this reinforces eye-contact and
effective communication. I have chosen
this photograph because it is a high
quality and professional photograph, which
will be suitable for an advert for H&M. I
edited this photograph in Photoshop. I
adjusted the brightness and contrast to
make the background white, as I was
inspired by a previous photo of a model
photo-shoot. This was the main focus for
my advertisement. I inserted the H&M logo
in the bottom right hand corner as this is
the standard positioning in their other
adverts. Therefore this will make my
advert look professional and realistic.
This is a long shot photo-graph. I chose this
photograph as it has excellent shading and
lighting, therefore it is not necessary to add
artificial effects in Photoshop. I combined this
image with the main model gaze to make this
advert different from other H&M advertisements.
This will attract a wider audience and will
enhance the appearance of my music magazine. I
set this photograph the background of my
advertisement. In Photoshop I changed the opacity
to 28%, therefore this image blended behind the
main image which made the image more interesting.
As this photograph was layered on top of the main
image, I used the eraser tool to remove areas of
the images which covered the face of the model
gaze. I also removed some parts of the image
which overlapped the clothing, however, not all
areas more erased. This was significant as I am
promoting clothes from H&M. This made direct
contact with the audience and made the overall
advert more appealing and professional.
With inspiration from H&M and
professional photo shoot, I have
produced the advertisement which
will be in my music magazine. I
have created this in Adobe
Photoshop.
