Creating my CD

The CD I started off by creating the cd shape on publisher

as I found the shapes easier to use and could put a boarder on the shape far easier than on Photoshop. I grouped the shapes then saved them as a picture to my computer.

The CD I then opened the CD shape up in Photoshop and

changed the CD colour from blue to orange as I felt that the orange colour fit in better with my colour scheme of light ‘sunrise’ colours to match my album cover. I also cut out the middle circle to make it look more like a CD.

The CD I wanted a simple CD but also wanted to feature

people on the CD so I decided to draw a silhouette of a couple very close looking at each other. I did this by using the paintbrush tool on Photoshop. I drew a rough outline and modified it as I went on with the paintbrush and eraser tools.

The CD I then used defont.com to come up with a font for

my band I saved the text as a picture and inserted it into my CD and used the colour overlay to change the text colour from back to white to make it stand out. I then used the paintbrush tool and line tool to draw a lifeline like you would see on a heart monitor to break up the black on my CD a little. I used the text tool to add the name of the album to the CD and then found the cd symbol off the internet to add to my CD so my audience knows this is the CD part to the digipak.
