Costume, hair and make-up

Costume

For the costumes for the three lead characters we asked the local hospital for three hospital gowns .

We then splattered fake blood, purchased from a local fancy dress shop, down the front to indicate that the girls had been harmed.

Make-up

For the eyes we used dark eye-shadow and mascara to create a haunting and manic look. We then smudged the make-up to create a tear stained affect to show vulnerable side to the girls.

We also splattered blood on various parts of the face and body to demonstrate that the girls had been injured or had injured someone else.

HairFor the two lead blonde girls we back combed the hair as these girls have suffered months of horrific abuse at the hands of the doctor and are now running through the woods, therefore they would be in a mess.

For the lead brunette we kept her hair in smooth ringlet curls, this is because she has not yet suffered from abuse therefore her hair should be neat and the curls are quite child like which gives her a sense of innocence and vulnerability.
