Summary I want the actors style in the music video to be reflective of the indie rock genre. Therefore I will style the actor in simple clothing, such as

black skinny jeans, a black shirt and a flannel. However as I don't plan to use any long shots in the music video it probably doesn’t

matter what the actor wears on his lower half as it might not be seen by the audience. However just incase I will make sure that it is simple

and reflective of the genre. When it comes to makeup, I don't want the actor to wear anything drastic; instead I want it to look natural.

Therefore I will only use a minimal amount of makeup, just to emphasis the actors features and make parts of his face more prominent. Throughout this powerpoint, I am going to collect

different images of makeup looks and outfits that are similar to how I want this actor to be styled or give me inspiration for how to style her. I shall then conduct some research into the different makeup products and clothing items that are available for me to use when

styling the actor.

Makeup:

Throughout the music video, Jonathan’s makeup will remain the same. The makeup will be very natural and will only be

used to cover any blemishes and highlight his features. I will make sure to use a mattifying translucent power on this actor, to ensure that the lights don’t cause his skin to appear shiny in the music video. By using minimal makeup for this actor, it will make it appear as if it is ‘natural’ face in the music video which is often what male music artists have in their music video. I will use bronzer to contour the actor, this will make his check bones

and jawline a more prominent feature and make him appear slightly older than he is.

The lighting in my video is going to be coloured and the colour filters are going to be shown on the actors skin. Therefore I

want the clothing that the actor is wearing is plain and simple. I think that I want the outfit that Jonathan wears to be all black

because it will blend in with the black background and will allow the colour filters to be shown on just his skin. In the shots

where I show him playing the guitar, I might put get him to wear a dark coloured flannel. This is because flannel are often

worn by indie rock artists as well as by my target audience.

Hair:

Jonathan has got relatively long hair; this is quite popular amongst indie rock artists and bands. This will therefore make the artists style somewhat reflective of the genre. I don’t do any

styling to the actors hair, I want to leave it natural. This is because it will make it seem like the artists is quite carefree and doesn't overly care about his appearance which is often the case

with indie rock artists. I want the actor to have some facial hair/stubble. This is to reinforce the carefree image as well as to make the actor appear slightly older than he is. The stubble will also help to define his cheekbones and jawline meaning that not

as much makeup will be require there.
