What is CAC of SEA? A Continuous Assessment Component
(CAC) of the SEA that adds value by ensuring that the varied abilities, learning styles, interests and talents of primary school students are identified and met through a system of delivery of specified curriculum objectives, support for differentiated instructional approaches, and the application of activity-based, authentic assessment tasks.

The CAC ELA Writing score will be derived from two years of writing across Standards 4 and 5.

Writing will contribute 10% over two years to the total CAC of SEA score of 40%.

A rigorous system for Monitoring, Moderation and Examination Administration was established in collaboration with CXC.
This is to ensure the validity and reliability of CAC scores submitted by teachers

The Ministry of Education has deployed 145 Monitors to report on the implementation of the CAC in all schools.
CAC Monitors work along with Curriculum Officers
and report on the CAC to District Curriculum Coordinators.
