Introduction
Tools that bring us to God and understand
His will for us.
Introduction
In SFC, we commit to a daily personal prayer
time, to a daily reading of the Bible and
to regular participation in the sacraments.
PRAYER
Prayer is a form of communication, a means of talking to God.
Do we answer God’s Call?
PRAYER
Nurture and deepen our relationship with God: • Attending Mass on a Sunday • Praying the Rosary• Reciting novenas • Prayer time, a time set aside to
dialogue with God and just be in His presence (Silence)
• Offering of our day
PRAYERHumility
Acknowledging our littleness before God:• Restoring
relationship with the Lord
• Expressing to Him our gratitude for His mercy and love.
PRAYERFight temptation:
Strengthen ourselves in fighting temptation.• Our hearts weaken
with temptation when we do not pray
• We should pray to be protected from the evil.
PRAYERGod’s will:
help us become more attuned to God’s will for us.
• We are able to surrender ourselves completely
• We follow and accept His will and not ours.
Obstacles to Prayers
• Anxieties and concerns that distract us.• Too much concern about your prayer
quality. • Dryness• Difficulty in listening to or
hearing the Lord. • Sin
Some obstacles might come from God. He seeks to find out if our faithfulness comes from the consolation we experience in prayer or from being in His presence.

2. What inhibits me from participating in the sacraments (Holy Eucharist and Confession)regularly?
3. What will I commit to do to develop a relationship with God?
