to grow in our Christian life.

Introduction

In SFC, we commit to a daily personal prayer

time, to a daily reading of the Bible and

to regular participation in the sacraments.

PRAYER

Prayer is a form of communication, a means of talking to God.

Do we answer God’s Call?

PRAYER

Nurture and deepen our relationship with God: • Attending Mass on a Sunday • Praying the Rosary• Reciting novenas • Prayer time, a time set aside to

dialogue with God and just be in His presence (Silence)

• Offering of our day

PRAYERHumility

Acknowledging our littleness before God:• Restoring

relationship with the Lord

• Expressing to Him our gratitude for His mercy and love.

PRAYERFight temptation:

Strengthen ourselves in fighting temptation.• Our hearts weaken

with temptation when we do not pray

• We should pray to be protected from the evil.

PRAYERGod’s will:

help us become more attuned to God’s will for us.

• We are able to surrender ourselves completely

Obstacles to Prayers

• Anxieties and concerns that distract us.• Too much concern about your prayer

quality. • Dryness• Difficulty in listening to or

hearing the Lord. • Sin

Some obstacles might come from God. He seeks to find out if our faithfulness comes from the consolation we experience in prayer or from being in His presence.
