Blue Valley West High School Library October, 2014
u 66 classes came into the library during the month of October to check out books, utilize resources, gain instruction, and work on research projects.
u World Geography classes used Google Tour Builder to provide evidence of what they learned in their unit on Sub Sahara Africa.
u Western World History classes used the Trading Card App on the iPads to research and create trading cards on an Enlightenment Philosopher/Scientist.
u ELA9 classes participated in lessons to help them establish context and setting for their reading of the novel Of Mice and Men.
u Mrs. Mendenhall’s ELA9 classes used the Trading Card App on the iPads to create trading cards representing a super hero during their study of Ulysses.
u Mrs. Robinson book talked a variety of genres of books to the Enrichment students in Mrs. Ahnemann and Mrs. Fellingham’s classes.
u Mrs. Robinson participated in the 2014 Literature Festival at KU where she facilitated book talks over the book Frozen by Mary Casanova.
u Mrs. Robinson read 6 books during the month of October: After by Amy Efaw, Because I am Furniture by Thalia Chaltas, Frozen by Mary Casanova, Wild Orchid by Beverley Brenna, Broken by CJ Lyons and Althea & Oliver by Cristina Moracho.
