Library Highlights:
Blue Valley West High School Library November, 2014
35 classes came into the library during the month of November to check out books, utilize resources, gain instruction, and work on research projects.
US History Since 1865 classes used the Book Creator App on the iPads to create flip books about the Roaring 20s.
Avid classes used the iMovie App on the iPads to create Public Service Announcements. These announcements were viewed by students at Blue Valley Southwest.
Sports and Marketing classes used the iPads to create commercials and radio broadcasts. Students used iMovie, Garage Band and Drop Box to complete their project.
Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Davis visited Pleasant Ridge Middle School to take a look at their high top tables. We are interested in adding high top tables with charging stations to the media center at BVW.
Jigsaw puzzles became a common site around the LMC. So far, students have completed 4 puzzles! There is a large group of students who meet to work on it before school and you can commonly find students working on it throughout the day.
Mrs. Robinson read 4 books during the month of November: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian, My Life with the Walter Boys, Rethinking Normal, and We Were Liars.
