Location Analysis: Mattoni’s Bar Scene We decided to film at Mattoni’s so that we are able to film Ashley ‘drinking’. We thought that a bar scene is the best way to portray Ashley being an alcoholic which then leads him to drunk texting. We can immediately see the risks and hazards associated with filming in this restaurant. We were kindly given permission to film behind the bar counter to achieve a frontal view of Ashley. However, we had to watch out for any glasses or bottles around us due to the limited spacing that we had – especially because we used a tripod. This meant that it is important to give each other enough space and not to crowd around the same area if it’s unnecessary. However, we were supervised by the manager of the restaurant anyway, so that nothing was to go wrong. Another hazard was that we were actually using shot glasses, pint glasses as well as a vodka bottle. This meaning that we had to be sensible when using these props as a potential hazard of it smashing. On arrival, we left our belongings (bags and coats) on the seats of and the back of the chairs. Therefore reducing any risks of tripping over anything.

We decided to film at Mattoni’s so that we are able to film Ashley ‘drinking’. We thought that a bar

scene is the best way to portray Ashley being an alcoholic which then leads him to drunk texting.

We can immediately see the risks and hazards associated with filming in this restaurant. We were

kindly given permission to film behind the bar counter to achieve a frontal view of Ashley. However,

we had to watch out for any glasses or bottles around us due to the limited spacing that we had –

especially because we used a tripod. This meant that it is important to give each other enough space

and not to crowd around the same area if it’s unnecessary. However, we were supervised by the

manager of the restaurant anyway, so that nothing was to go wrong.

Another hazard was that we were actually using shot glasses, pint glasses as well as a vodka bottle.

This meaning that we had to be sensible when using these props as a potential hazard of it

smashing.

On arrival, we left our belongings (bags and coats) on the seats of and the back of the chairs.
