Lesson 1.2 In this lesson, you will learn about the

peer evaluation process. You will prepare to participate by

creating a Googledocs account. creating your personal peer evaluation form.

Why Peer Evaluation? Individual accountability and group

communication are key factors for effective collaboration.

You and your teammates will evaluate one another weekly in an open forum via Googledocs.

This process enables your team to identify and resolve potential problems.

Peer Evaluation Names You will create your own form, where

each group member will be listed, including you (see My Name).

Peer Evaluation of Self You will rate yourself weekly on your own

form.

Evaluation from Others By giving form access to your peers, they

will access your form and rate you also.

Weekly Completion When your form displays an “x” above

each name for the week, your form is complete.

Access to Peer Forms Just as you will set up your form, your

teammates will do the same. On a weekly basis, you will:

Access each form Enter ratings for your teammates in the

column under your name Enter an “x” above your name.

Form Criteria You and your peers will rate each other

using the criteria highlighted below.

Form Rating Scale Use the rating scale highlighted below.

You may enter a rating within these ranges also (e.g. 75, 85, 95).

Rating Comments When you enter a rating, you have the

option to add a comment. Simply right-click on the cell and select Insert Comment.

Weekly Comments Lastly, on your own form, you will add

weekly comments about team progress and opportunities.
