HavingstudiedtheelectricityusageatMyrtleGrangeandcompleteda
financialappraisalofthescheme,Locogendesignedaninstallationto
matchthefarm’selectricityrequirementsandoptimisethereturnon
investment.
Thesystemconsistsof184xREC250PEpanelsandisconnectedtothe
gridusinghigh-performanceABBinverters.Around80%oftheelectricity
is used onsite, representing a huge saving over the life of the project.
AllstagesoftheprojectweremanagedbyLocogen,fromtheinitialsite
surveythroughtotheinstallation,commissioningandFiTaccreditationof
thesystem.
