Research Backgroud

• Bengkulu province has 435,116 hectares plantation area in 2010.

• Growth of oil palm plantation area from 166.627 hectares in 2009 to 190.787 hectares in 2010. Most of the oil palm plantation in Bengkulu owned by private estates.

• Muko-Muko Regency is one of the main locations of oil palm plantations in the province of Bengkulu.

• There are many rights of Enterprises that issued by local governments of Mukomuko Regency in the Limited Production Forest Zone.

Research Objectives

1. To know the development condition of oil palm plantations in Mukomuko Regency.

2. To know some constraints in the development of the agricultural sector, especially oil palm plantations.

3. To find the impact of the development of palm oil plantations for the Limited Production Forest area in Mukomuko Regency?

Time Series AnalysisThis analysis is needed to show and prove the correlationbetween dependent variables and independent variables byusing statistical tools of analysis. It also will help to analize thevariation of data, the trend and tendencies.

Librarian researchIn order to have the real ovarview about the research theme,the librarian research will help to construct theoritical base asthe guide-line to come to thesis statement and conclution.

Field researchThis method related to the effort of collecting data and alsodiscussion and interview. Those data are Spatial Regulation, Forestry Regulation, region income, Statutes, the result of interview and other related data.
