Stanton School
From the desk of Mr. Sefcik and Mrs. Peters…
Dear Parents and Guardians, Who would have thought that when we sat down to write our April message, school would not be in session? Certainly, not us. At this time, Governor, J.B. Pritzker has announced that all schools will remain closed through April 7, 2020. As we all know, this is an unprecedented time in our country and many things are uncertain. We hope you can take some comfort in knowing that D114 is committed to doing all we can to stay connected and provide our students and families with as much support as possible. We are here for you and we are all in this together.
Important Reminders:
Beginning Monday, March 30, our Grab ‘N Go program will be open on Mondays and Thursdays at Stanton only from 7:30-10:00. You can pick up breakfast and lunch, school supplies, books, cleaning supplies, and check out a Chromebook.
On Wednesday, April 1 at 2:30, D114 staff members are going on a parade. See page 6 for more details.
Please focus on the Remote Learning Choice Boards each family received in the mail. They are also located on the Remote Learning Center on the website. Teachers are available to give feedback and answer questions.
Take some time for a little fun and join us in our Virtual Spirit Week March 30-April 3. See page 2 for more details.
Most importantly, we hope you are well and staying safe. We miss you and cannot wait to be back together again!

Last month, Stanton’s band members had the opportunity to perform a solo at the annual solo festival at Frassati Catholic Academy in Wauconda. The
students had been preparing their solo since December and were rated on eight different musical categories. Participation is voluntary and requires a lot
of hard work and dedication. Stanton is very proud of our band members!
