During the school year sessions, girls
participate in one empowerment class on
Monday and Wednesday and one elective
class on Tuesday and Thursday.
Mondays and Wednesdays
Session 1: September 4th - October 18th The Heart of a Girl: Girls will learn social
emotional management, self-advocacy, and how to find and develop their inner leader.
Session 2: October 24th – December 13th Goddess Girls: 1st – 3rd grade girls will participate in anatomy and physiology program
where they learn about their bodies and how to
stay healthy. 4th and 5th grade girls will learn about their bodies, puberty, hygiene, and self-
care basics.
Session 3: January 7th – February 21st Rocket Girls: 4th and 5th grade girls will be
working with Lockheed Martin volunteers to learn about rocket science while 1st-3rd grade get
hands-on with rocket launching.
Session 4: February 25th – April 25th Project BOLD: Girls learn skills and strategies
to lead safer lives in their homes, in
relationships, in their communities, and online. Girls learn specific self-defense techniques and
how to seek out and talk to caring adults about personal violence.
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Tutoring and Homework Help Girls should bring homework from school. Math and literacy activities will also be provided.
Fridays*
Fresh Fridays Fun and interactive workshops that support the
Girls Inc. mission by inspiring girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold! 4th and 5th grade girls will also
have the opportunity to sign up for small group
mentoring.
*please note in our Session Dates that we do not have programming on the last Friday of each session.

Monday/Wednesday (classes only)
Tuesday/Thursday (tutoring only)

Monday - Thursday (3:00 pm – 6:30 pm)
3:00 – 4:30 Hangout/homework/supper/free time 4:30 – 6:00 Class or Tutoring
6:00 – 6:30 Pickup (early pick-up is not allowed)
MANDATORY Parent Welcome Meeting:
ALL parents new or returning must attend one
welcome meeting before your girl(s) begin program. Please attend ONE of the following:
August 23rd at 3:30pm OR 5:30pm August 24th at 3:30pm OR 5:30pm
At this meeting you will complete van pick-up
form, receive additional materials, and learn
about new expectations for this school year.
*Please note if a parent does not attend a welcome meeting their daughter’s
space in program will be forfeited and given to another girl on the waiting list.
