While delivering his JRDTata Corporate LeadershipAward Lecture, NandanNilekani, Non-ExecutiveChairman, Infosys Ltd,spoke about how Indiansare going digital; how India
is making businesses GSTcompliant; and how Indiansare becoming data rich. He
said that data wealth isturning into real wealth.
In another session, Adi
Godrej, Chairman, GodrejGroup, and Sunil KantMunjal, Immediate PastPresident, AIMA andChairman, The HeroEnterprise, addressed theaudience. Delivering alecture on leading familybusinesses in the age ofdisruption, Adi Godrej saidthat typically familybusinesses underperformduring economic expansionand they do better than the
rest during economiccontraction because theyhave leaner cost structuresand they are quicker toreact to threats andopportunities.
Philanthropy is a way oflife for Anshu Gupta,founder, Goonj,who talked abouthow things havechanged over theyears and what ittakes to give back
to the society. Akhil Bansal,Deputy CEO, KPMG in India,also addressed thegathering.
