Preparing for a PartyAn exciting and immersive workshop to experience No.1 Royal Crescent and gain an insight into Georgian life as a member of Bath’s polite society.
Lady Catherine will welcome you to No.1 and teach you the rules of refined behaviour. Dress up as an elegant Georgian Lady or Gentleman then learn how to use a goose feather quill and ink to write a party invitation.
Students will:• Learn about Georgian etiquette and social events• Handle original artefacts including a shoe buckle
and patch box• Wear replica costumes• Explore the house to identify 18th century objects
required for a party• Create their own Georgian style letter sealed with
wax to take back to school
