Welcome!Welcome to the first issue of IHG ImPRESSions!
We’ve created this new publication to serve as
a valuable travel agent resource for all things
IHG – useful news about our brands and hotels,
destination spotlights, information about agent
incentives, promotions and tools, and much more.
Our overriding goal at IHG is to deliver Great Hotels
Guests Love™. We value our important partnership
with the travel agent community that helps
make it possible for us to achieve that goal, and
this newsletter is another way to strengthen
our relationship.
I’d like to point out two headline initiatives that
we touch on in this inaugural issue. First, we’re
celebrating the relaunch of our 3,000th Holiday
Inn hotel. This is another important milestone in
our global program to relaunch our entire Holiday
Inn and Holiday Inn Express® brand family, the
largest such undertaking in the history of the
hospitality industry. You can read more about our
global relaunch in the story on Page 2. The same
story includes a reminder about our new travel
agent portal, www.ihgagent.com. This useful tool,
which was launched last April, is designed to help
travel agents sell IHG hotels more successfully and
includes a comprehensive online learning program,
IHG Agent University, among many other features.

lists InterContinental Hotels & Resorts as the Best Business Hotel Brand in the World and the Best Business Hotel
Brand in Europe. These results were part of the 2010 Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Readers’ Poll, a comprehensive
survey carried out by market research company Synovate. The votes came from frequent travelers who are
subscribers of the magazine and reflect the expectations of today’s corporate travelers and decision makers.

relaunch of our 3,000th Holiday Inn hotel.
IHG is in the process of completing the biggest
relaunch in the history of the hospitality industry.
The result will be Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn
Express brands that are fresh, modern and up-
to-date, providing a consistent experience and
redefining guests’ expectations for service and
quality in the mid-market hotel segment.
The relaunch focuses on the things research shows
matter most to guests – a modern, contemporary
hotel with efficient, friendly service and a great night’s
sleep. All Holiday Inn employees have gone through
an extensive “Stay Real” training program to ensure
guests receive the level of service they expect.
