Defining CDC
CDC is not new• CDC was trialled in 2010/11 for two years across 1,000
Home Care Packages.
• From 1 August 2013 all Home Care Packages allocated to providers have been offered on a Consumer Directed Care basis.
• Since 1 August 2013 various support mechanisms have been available to the sector to assist with the transition to CDC.

and delivery processes in light of changing consumer expectations.
• The way home care providers have arranged their business models for the introduction of CDC will change as their practices mature.
