From confusion to clarity about what today’s work force is wanting. The needs of our teams are far more complex than ever before. The approaches which we have used successfully are confusingly still “right”, but also no longer working.Adding to this, in what should be an exciting time of giving back, passing on knowledge and growing individuals, leaders are second guessing themselves and the role they play in the future.Warren Kennaugh show us the one simple approach that can regain confidence in leaders and change the way teams listen to and follow them.Workshop Outcomes• Understanding what’s changing in the minds of current work
forces and how to makes sense of what they are wanting from their leaders.
• Knowing how to balance their needs with the needs of the business and your own.
• A predictable approach creating understanding, engagement and commitment into what our teams really want.
Models and Process (for your information)• The change in the role of trust• What of the past won’t cut it• FIT model of leadership for 2020 and beyond – what are they
looking for?• Having the engaged conversation, winning the hearts and mindsWarren KennaughWarren is a Behavioural Strategist specialising in the development of executive capability. EFFICIENT, CLEAR AND CONFIDENT COMMUNICATIONS by Carolyn Crawford
Incorporating Soft Plastics and Glass into Asphalt:
This is an industry-leading development in repurposing soft plastics and glass in asphalt for road construction to create a sustainable, cost effective solution that has improved performance characteristics.
The Australian-first road construction trial with soft plastics and glass in asphalt demonstrates the economic, social and environmental value for products that would likely end up in landfill, stockpiled, or as a pollutant in our natural environments.
Creating an Environment for Leadership:
Our lives are filled with teams; work groups, family teams, social teams, sporting teams, community teams. It’s impossible to avoid being in a team and the quality of our teams determines the quality of our lives. While our engineering skills and knowledge allow us to design, build and maintain, we need a different skill set to ensure teams performance and cohesion. This keynote presentation will explore the impact that increasing your maintenance actions has on staff morale and productivity as well as explain the four root causes for a team’s underperformance and how to implement a simple Continuous Improvement process.
Managing Risks in Infrastructure Decision-Making:
With limited public funds available, the current scale of investment in major projects in Australia and the long life of most infrastructure assets, we all expect decisions on public infrastructure projects to be robust, transparent and accountable, resulting in assets that will not only bring optimum productivity benefits to the economy but also contributing to a stronger and prosperous Australia for our next generation.Through an interactive presentation, Pedram Danesh-Mand will debate the recent publicity of considerable money waste on the wrong infrastructure projects in Australia, mainly due to the political and misrepresentation causes.
