Principal’s Report
Congratulations to our Smooth Start students who graduated
this week. They all looked very grown up wearing their gown
and mortarboard. Thank you to all the parents and grandpar-
ents for making it a special ceremony. We look forward to
seeing our graduates in 2019. Thank you to Mrs Knight, Mrs
Lee, Mrs Baker, Miss Martin, Mrs Ackroyd, Donna and Miss
Brenton for all your efforts in ensuring it was a successful
program.
Next week will be busy with Presentation Day and the Year 6
Farewell. It’s wonderful to see parents/carers and relatives
supporting their child/children at these special events. The
office ladies and Donna have been very busy organising these
events. We thank them for their hard work.
This week Mrs Eves, Miss Sloan and Mrs Lehmann travelled
to Nyngan for SAP (Systems, Applications and Products)
training. I am sure their heads are still spinning! I don’t envy
them at all.
Enjoy the town Christmas Parade and Christmas Gala Night
tonight and have a wonderful weekend.
Be kind to one another!

CPS Year 6 Farewell Dinner Invitations to all parents of CPS Year 6
students were mailed out on the
23rd October, 2018.
Please contact CPS Admin. on 6836 2039
if you require further information
about this event.
This week, Mr Harvey and Miss Gentles have taken a group of our
students who live on rural properties, to visit Ashtonfield Public School
in Newcastle. Our students have the opportunity to share what it is like
living in the bush and experience city life. We can’t wait for the
students to return and share their stories of the events on their excursion.
Hopefully, there will be many photos too.
With our own personal tour guide Mr Harvey; the students and Miss
Gentles were treated to first class sight-seeing, exploring the sights of
Nobbys beach, King Edward Park gun emplacement, Blackout Reserve
Walk, ANZAC walk at Strzelecki Lookout, Fort Scratchley and the list
goes on. The students have had a great time at Ashtonfield Public School,
making some great friendships and being inundated with interested
students asking many questions.
Our students and Mr Harvey presented a powerpoint to Year 3-6
students and teachers, highlighting life on the farm. Mr Harvey and Miss
Gentles had heard non-stop praise and positive feedback about our stu-
dents. We are very proud.
