Fire alarms can tell you if a fire is happening.
A fire alarm beeps. Change fire alarm every ten years. Change the alarm’s battery once a month. Test your smoke alarm once a month. Photo electric fire alarms are best.

If the stove is on without anyone watching it, turn it off.
Move the heater away from curtains , sheets or blankets because they may catch on fire.
Don’t leave lit candles unattended. Don’t play with matches. Don’t use hairsprays or flammable objects
around open flames.
Put a fire alarm in your house Have an escape plan if your house
catches on fire. Make sure to keep young children away
from anything that is or can become flammable.
Practice your fire escape plan. If your clothes catch on fire stop drop
and roll. If your house is on fire stay low. If you hear the smoke alarm go off in
your room put the back of your hand on the door to feel if it is hot.
