Late Action ReportDue to the thrilling four games

in four days that finished ourS.L.L. season this final report is alittle late. The season ended in athree-way tie with teams 6W-MrHaglund, 7W-Mr Fuchs and us4W , as reported in last week'spaper

The winners, team 4W had toplay the World Series after anexhilarating playoff which waswon after an extra inning firstgame with fant astic relief pit-chmgof 2 innings on Saturdaywhich helped keep us tied withteam No 7 On Sunday the samepit cher . Billy Palmer, who won 8games and batted 470 thisseason, pitched another 2 inningsand batted in the winning run tobreakthetie After an hours rest ,he went on to picth 7 more superbinnings in beating a great teammanaged by Mr Haglund

Without our two starring pit-chers B Palmer and J Nevola ,we w ere badly beaten in theWorld Series first game by GabeMuracas' Champs Team 4E alsowon the next game, but I'm reallyat a loss for words in explainingthe great comeback after the firstinning in which Mr Muracas"team scored their 4 runs

Bobby Challenor came in afterpi t ching onl> 5 innings all seasonand held them to just 2 hits and 0runs for 5 and 2 .5 innings Withhis great pitching came teamfielding which would make anymanager smile The final scorewas 4 .; We lost thc World Seriesto an excellent team
