B-ABLE under NHPC
(National Hydroelectric
Power Corporation) CSR
project is imparting
training in Sikkim. The
training is being
conducted for the job roles of organic grower and assistant beauty therapist at two centres in Mellidara (South Sikkim) and Singtam (East Sikkim) respectively. 120
candidates will be trained at Mellidara and 100 at Singtam.

BASIX Group organized an award ceremony
on completing 21 successful years of the
company on May 13, 2017, in Hyderabad to
honour the awardees of all group companies. BASIX Chairperson s Awards are in in the recognition of the meritorious contribution
towards its mission of livelihood promotion.
This year six B-ABLERs were the recipients of
the prestigious award: Vishal Singh

Nadeem, Vinay Singh, Mohd. Farhan and
Vinod Singh Rawat.

awarded a momento along with a cash prize
to all awardees.
Later B-ABLE HR Team organized an event at
NEC Delhi to honour and hand over the same
awards to the recipients in the presence of

new Chief Operating Officer- Mr. Pankaj Jindal
in April 2017. Pankaj comes with a rich
experience of 20 years in Skill Development,
Business Development Strategy, Planning,
Program Management & Execution etc. As we

Objective Setting and Performance Appraisal Exercise
B-ABLE organized an OSPA exercise for
all its employees on 18 & 19th April in
New Delhi. The purpose of Objective
Setting and Performance Appraisal
(OSPA) was to focus the efforts of team
members on specific objectives
(quantitative and qualitative) which
would contribute to enhancing the
overall performance of the Company. It
is a written mutual agreement between
the employee and the reporting officer
to work towards a set of objectives which are in line with the Company s objectives. B-ABLE Employees PAN

317 New Eyemitra Shops in Last Quarter
A great achievement for the team to have provided sustainable
livelihood to 317 EMOs from April-June 2017. This makes a
cumulative figure of 2425. The program with vision care also
helps in generating livelihoods through self-business in rural
and semi-urban areas that today suffer from a drastic shortage
of primary eye care providers. These EyeMitra shops are
proving to be a very good source of eyecare solutions and
awareness in the required areas.

B-ABLE opened a new skill centre at Barpeta district of Assam to
facilitate the training programmes under the Deendayal
Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-
NULM).
Here the training is imparted in the job roles of Housekeeping
Assistant, Front Office Executive, BPO Non Voice etc.

Nalanda Batch Inaguration
After achieving a record of 100% placement, B-ABLE once again signed a MOU with Nalanda Foundation
for the FY 2017-18. This program is mainly focused on training and placement with residential facility for
the underprivileged and unemployed youth of rural and semi urban areas. The trainees are enrolled from
various states like Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Delhi. Two batches of
CNC operator course have already started at B-ABLE OPSAN ANGIRA Skill Development Centre, Manesar
on May 29, 2017 and June 28, 2017 respectively.

which various health
benefits of yoga were
discussed. We hope

B-ABLERS adapt YoGA as a part of their life.

Generation), Eye Mitra
entrepreneurial program
has now been scaled up
with 15 operational centres
in 2017 (11 in UP and 4 in
Rajasthan). In the month of
June, 146 new EMOs opened
their shops,
270565 refractions were
B-ABLE Generating Sustainable Livelihood with EyeMitra Program
done, over 43159 wearers
generated in the Indian
states of Uttar Pradesh and
Rajasthan.
Till now, 2425 EMOs have
been created who have
together conducted over 30
million vision refractions
and generated 6,65,000
wearers in the rural
communities.
The average revenue of
B-ABLE has recently conducted a
mobilization drive at North Railway Union
Hall, Rajasthan for plumbers.
This initiative has been taken by the
Project Manager Mr. Mool Singh in order to
mobilize plumbers for RPL (Recognition
Prior Learning) training.
Mobilization Drive for RPL EyeMitra 4th Convention in Lucknow
The 4th Eye Mitra convention was organized by 2.5 NVG and
B-ABLE team on May 3, 2017 in Lucknow. There were 850 Eye Mitras from the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan who
attended the convention. Top performing Eye Mitras were
acknowledged and given prizes for their hard work. EMOs
were also called on stage to talk about their success stories and
how they have overcome their business challenges.

Frederick, Ms. Laura, Ms. P Ramchandran, Mr. Iyyer, Mr
Saugata, Mr Milind and his 2.5 team graced the occasion with
