The 14 to 16 Centre is the largest 14 to 16 Alternative Provider in the Borough of Enfield and surrounding area. The cohort consists of a diverse mix of students, who join the College for a myriad of reasons, resulting in many and complex barriers to learning. These have to be broken down in order for the students to successfully participate in education and progress into further training, apprenticeship or work post-16.
Many of the learners who join The 14 to 16 Centre full time courses have particular issues around behaviour and attitude, attendance and punctuality that mean that they will not succeed at school. In November 2011 Southgate College merged with Barnet College, this has given The 14 to 16 Centre the opportunity to provide its unique blend to a wider audience.
